Creative Writing
Creative Writing meets in the afternoon on the second Monday of each month. Numbers are limited to seven and we meet in members' houses. At the end of each meeting we agree a topic for the following month's story, although members are free to write about anything. When we meet, we each read our story and anyone unable to attend sends their story to another member for them to read. The length of the story is unimportant but they average about 1,500 words.
After the meeting, stories are circulated by email for other members to read at their leisure and they are then circulated to others for their comments.
Rumours that the group's title is just a cover for a monthly get together for the tea, cake and a natter, are strongly denied!

Whilst the lock down is still enforced we will be continuing with “ virtual” meetings in the meantime. We will be sending our stories and comments round the group by email. Although we will miss the social aspects of the Creative Writing Group, emails will ensure that we stay in touch and keep the creative juices flowing.
