Literature
Our Group explores the age old question " What is Literature?" and how it has changed as we go from Henry James through the 20th Century to William Boyd.
One member of our group introduces the book of the month and the rest of us tell how it was for them and what they felt the author was trying to say. We choose to read books that we should have read way back and hadn't and we feel good about it! Titles range from "Wings of the Dove" by Henry James , "Cry the Beloved Country " by Alan Paton , "On the Road " by Jack Kerouac, "The Trial" by Franz Kafka and "The Tigers Wife" by Tea Obrecht.
Our group of 8 or so meet once a month on the 1st Thursday at The Guild Hall, Lyme Regis, for up to a couple of hours before we retire for tea and a good natter.
