French for Fun
French For Fun Fortnightly Tuesdays, Group Leader's home, 10.00 am
We are a friendly group which meets once a fortnight; most of us studied French at school (many years ago!) and would like to ‘brush up’ for holidays or just out of interest.
We often read articles from a French language magazine (with accompanying CDs) on a wide range of topics from culture and food to current affairs and history (and even French jokes !) We also play language games, discuss things or just chat (in French, of course) and sometimes get together ( with partners) for a French-style buffet- as the name of the group suggests we try to have fun.
We usually have two socials, one in January and one before we finish for each summer. We enjoy all our sessions!
New members would be very welcome; if you think you might be interested please get in touch and come along to a session to see if you enjoy it.
